Following our recent "The First 100 Days" panel debate event, please find above a film of the debate, chaired by BBC Political Correspondent Jon Sopel.
This was the first event of its kind in our area which gave local business and public sector leaders the opportunity to come together and reflect on some key issues and look to what the future holds. The coalition have been clear in their view that they want greater engagement from the private sector in driving regional policy and that was definitely a view reiterated by our panel.
The debate provided some challenging questions around access to finance, economic growth and regional transport, which were debated in detail by our experienced panel members. 100 days on from the new coalition, it is clear that the senior business community in Leeds city region has a keen interest in how our region moves forward, but are optimistic about the future prospects for Yorkshire.
